Sat, Oct. 3rd, 2009, 06:57 pm for you
You shot me up, yeah You filled my cup, oh You sailed my boat You were my last hope You took my very last hope away
Oh you, you will be loved by someone good And you, you will be loved by somebody good You have been loved
You dropped the bomb And now you're gone I held you dear You swallowed my fears And now I've drunk my last beer with you
Oh you, you have been loved by someone good Yeah you, you will be loved Oh will you ever know That the bitterness and anger left me long ago Only sadness remains And it will pass
Yeah you you will be loved by somebody good By somebody good
Between Sheets - Imogen Heap
You and me between the sheets It just doesn’t get better than this The many windswept yellow stickies of my mind Are the molten emotional front line I couldn’t care less I’m transfixed in this absolute bliss Sweet sleepless, tumbling night Oh, and the morning on the your skin and loved up light Tracing patterns in the maze of your back Softly, softly the goose bumps like that And then a kiss… Maybe another, and another one Fri, Aug. 21st, 2009, 08:37 am Writing...
I've started a real life journal! It's really therapeutic... So if I write something good I'll copy it over here... Not sure how to define whats good/not though so we'll see. I'm sure pages and pages of my emo poetry isn't necessary haha

Pray for a muse! Mon, Jan. 12th, 2009, 05:05 pm Amazing gig...
Amazing weekend.. Thursday - Sunday. Just wow.
So I’ve been pondering woo!? As I try… (note TRY)… to make my lifestyle healthier I find myself turning into a boring kind of person. A few things I’ve started:
1. Working out. Working out everyday makes me really tired. LIKE really, really tired… I don’t know if I’m doing it wrong or something but when I spend a good 30-45mins working out everyday, getting my heart racing I end up with little to no energy for the rest of my day. Seriously this is a problem… like sure I’m getting fitter and can increase my exercise load BUT I fail at continuing the success of being fitter once the exercise stops. WHY?! Making me tired is making me not want to do more things therefore it’s making me more boring.
2. Less drinking. What can I say?! When I drink I got out and I have a blast. No drinking, no fun. Boring. Maybe this is a wrong way to view things but I find alcohol to be the best past of my Saturday nights and it makes everybody else seem more appealing to me =D
3. Eating out You dirty minds the other kind! The best food is always the worst food. I’m finding myself leaning towards the huge steak over the pretty salad. Steak is exciting and delicious and can be laced with great sauces and different meats. OH my god. Maccas is that not the best part of a long day… chewing into a beautiful cheeseburger?! I love food. True I like good food aswell but most of the food I like is bad. Avoiding food = Avoiding social food eatings = boring.
4. Coffee v Tea Think about it… You think of coffee and you think a fast paced kinda life woo! Attitude, or artsy sazzy (is that even a word?) and style… You think tea you think old ladies sitting around a table with pretty china. I love coffee. I love it. Seriously. BUT IT’S SO BAD! 4-5 cups of coffee before midday is awful for me… makes my teeth look ugly too! So I change to tea… Here’s another of those less energy situations… like should I just inject caffeine into my arm to kick the coffee? Who looks cool going to starbucks and ordering tea?!! Tea is boring. Heath = boring.
5. Brushing my teeth I know ew gross I have to make an effort for this one... but really I was the kid who never brushed their teeth so it’s hard. Brushing your teeth is obviously boring. Making an effort to put aside 3 different times of the day to do this chore is lame. Brushing my teeth, although good for them, is taking precious moments I could be spending doing more interesting things. Heath = boring.
6. No soft drink You see the buzz little kids get when you let them drink the fizzy drinks. Cmon. No soft drink is boring. You have to have normal stuff like water or juice. Water/juice = boring.
Yeah that’s my little dilemma at the moment. Gosh what’s a sorta-trying-to-be-healthy girl to do?!
***note: These are examples I've found while "testing" my new heathly life style... I may not actually do this stuff EVERYDAY! (Oh.. I totally brush my teeth though :P) Wed, Dec. 10th, 2008, 07:03 pm Oh goodness.
I havn't posted in ages! But just a little one to say I'm home, I'm safe... I'm working! (Thankgod being broke SUCKED) I have uni next year and all summer to party up. Hell yes! Fri, Oct. 31st, 2008, 01:04 pm Hawaii
Welll ALOOHAAA! :) I'm in Hawaii yaaaaay! It's so pretty here... gaint volcanic mountains as a back drop and pretty beaches and awesome palm trees
EVERYWHERE!
So anyway I arrived in Honalulu and one is my bags was gone! It was awful I was like AHHHH!!! But no I went to
the desk and they said it was on a different flight PHEW. Then I had to find my tour guide shuttle bus driver
for my LEI! Yeah I was all for getting leied! Ha I went to the desk and apperently Qantas messed the booking
and I was suppose to be coming on a different flight. That's why they didn't lei me when I first got off the
plane haha!
Anyway I'm at my hotel now! It's awesome! I have a nice little tour booked and plenty of shopping planned for
the rest of my time NOT in Australia haha! Home in Sydney on Sunday! And Melbourne the Sunday after that! :)
YAAAAAY!
x Fri, Oct. 24th, 2008, 05:51 pm Random bits.
From around Grande Cache in the last few daysss... Theresa's son Daden playing Ice-Hockey! It was the cutest thing EVER The deer that like LIVE outside Jenn's house at night! ahah Down Mason creek were we went for a daytrip and I spent the whole time crunching on the ice puddles around the Creek!! Fri, Oct. 24th, 2008, 05:08 pm Off again
On another wacky adventure... There's going to be also of spelling and typing errors in this cause i'm not proofing it - warning in advance -
Okay, so last week I was in beautiful Banff which is a national park full of exciting things to do and see. I went there by myself as not to infur on Ricky and Jenn's precious time now he's back at work etc.
I took the Greyhound (OMG YES) (AND I DIDN'T GET STABBED) it did however take me about 18 hours all up including and shocking 5 hours stop over in a dark and dingy part of Edmonton! EP!
I arrived on Monday and crashed in the hotel for most of the day, being tired as hell and recovering from the bus trip. I then checked out the local Safeway (woooo) for dinner and supplies for the week (pop tarts & oreo cookies) !! After some pretty strbucks and free wireless I saw a movie (yess alone SHUT UP) Nick and Norahs Infinate Playlist and returned to the hotel and hooked up to my horridly expensive IN HOTEL WIFI and nearly died at how slow it was. Point is, I was entertained for the night :) On that first day & bus trip alone I nearly finished the book my favourite brother gave to me "Kafka on the Shore" very interesting read by the way if anyone is interested!
A sunny Tuesday, I woke up at a pretty 7:30am... I havn't seen this time in a long, long time mind you it was AWFUL! But completely worth it when I had hotel breakfast (all you can drink coffee mmmmm) and got picked up for my MORNING HELICOPTER TOUR. Yeaaaaah it was awesome. They fle us up into a little mountain range and along through mountains... We were sitting about 2 meters above a glacier looking down into a lake and other surrounding mountains. It was soo pretty! And definately worth it... The mountains were all covered in snow but the sky was bright blue and perfectly clear. On the way down you could see over the town of Canmore which is the next over from Banff and even there the views were amazing. Being so sleep deprived (a whole 5 hours wooo) I went for a nap in the afternoon and woke up
JUST in time for my evening horse ride and steak fry. I walked about 20mins into Banff and out the otherside down a small trail and meet my horse. I was riding "shortie" apparently it's the childrens horse... so naturally they give him to me eh? Anyway it was only me and another Australian lady "Cathy" on the trip with the intrsuctor so it was very cute. We walked down an icy trail that lead along the Bow River to a tiny campsite/abandoned shed where they made us steak dinner, salad, roast potoate etc. and even gave us cupcakes as we frooze in the wind and ice. LOL. I guess it was only around -5oC and I was fully rugged up until the wind hit me... then burr... Cathy hadn't been over here half as long as I had and hadn't adjusted from the QLD heat so was naturally almost crying in the pain of the cold... ALSO her jacket was like 5 times larger than mine so screw her. I'm clearly just getting too used to it. OH She also told me, apparently I didn't sound to Australian anymore... I havn't spoken to many of my Aussie friends on the phone recently so I have no idea how my accent is going... but hey I still get it picked as somethine different here in Grande Cache so it can't be too Canadianised!
Both being Australian, and her having her son working at the local bar after the pretty trail ride back we hit the bar. MMM I have to say Canadian beer is the SHIT! haha I like it anyway... it's so muchnicer. Oh goodness yes I said it! SNAP. Anyway we had a few drinks, shopped a little (all the shops in Banff are open til about 9pm) and then hit the hotels Spa/Jacuzzi and wet/dry Sauna. Fantasticly warm end to a freezing cold day :) I then hit the internet again, and finally the sheets.
Wednesday I took a "wildlife" tour around Banff. Now this "Safari" was a rip. I wanted animals... I wanted bears, I wanted deer, I wanted Moose, I wanted EVERYTHING. What did I get... 3 stupid Elk in a field... yeah elk suck. I see more wildlife walking around town here. FAILED. But I did learn a little about Banff's history (like I needed to know) as the guide tried his best to make up for the fact the animals clearly hated him. AND I got to see alot more of Banff itself! Wednesday afternoon was shopping time... and defs well spent... I don't think i've seen that many little moose/bear figurines and toys and red and white flags shafted everywhere.. the whole town is merch crazy!
Thursday I had my cave tour. CAVING IS AWESOME! OMG. Sers. What they do right... is set you up with complete coveralls, knee pads, helmets etc. and we all set off into this little cave. It's totally not like the walk though the cave along the rails thing. The only lighting in there is from your own heads and the caves are untouched/unedited so the only ways though are the ways the ancient waters carved trough ba-zillions of years ago! So yeah, some parts you walk around... some parts you have to climb up or absail down other are so small you can only fit a little way into the cave before you have to turn around and then at one point you squish yourself and laydown on either your front or back litterally itching your way though to the nex open part. In the deepest part there's a huge chamber with heaps of different formations on it from the water and the stone it really made me wanna be a geoligist! haha but yeah CAVING IS AWESOME! The tour was booked with a group that pretty much are studying this kinda out-doorsy guide style stuff so they were all keen and, because its off season, our small group allowed us to do some pretty awesome caving stuffs.
I spent the afternoon/early evening in Canmore (where the cave tour was) and did some looking around at their muesum and touristy stuff before I taxi'd myself back to banff for another relaxing night in the spa mmmm. OH and I wanted food. THIS IS A FUNN STORY! Right but I didnt wanna call the takeout people a) I'm lazy and b) it would cost ot my room charges. So right I'm talking to my friend Nick in Australia and he's all like "ner ner I'm bored at work" and I'm like okay well order me some food. Long story short I gave him the number and my order and after much debating he ended up ordering my food! HAHA so funny HE CALLED LONG DISTANCE TO ORDER MY FOOD hahahahha. His boss is going to be SOOO happy. Anyway even funnyer he ordered all this extra random shit to get back at me so I ended up having extra for lunch and breakie the next morning! LOL
Fridya was my "free day" where I wasn't booked into any tours or anything but I did have a pass to allow me up the "gondola". This is not a boat. OKAY I know Canadains are strange. Anyway it's cable car up a mountain. So yeah up the sulpher mountain and up the top you hike a little longer for the best views in town... these views kicked the jasper gondola... seriosuly awesomeness I have videos and stuff I might edit later if I get around tooo it (obviously I'm lazy) Then I went to the Banff Muesum and ran into the guys from the caving tour the day before and hung about with them in the muesum (which was only stuffed animals) haha and took awesome photos of the stuffed bear.
More shopping and back home (VIA Calgary) - wooo! WHICH WASN'T FUN. The Greyhound fuckers are sooo GRRR excuse my French... the guy said I missed a connecting bus right.. so I called Jenn to tell her that then IN THE MEAN TIME THEY ANNOUNCE MY BUS, which happends to be running an hour late (so I really didn't miss it the guy was just a doushe being all like "well if it's past the time and there's no bus there clearly you miss it" kinda attitude.) Then I got on my bus, and couldn't call Jenn back and was waiting (not due to her fault at all and I love and thank her for driving me home) for like an hour and a half at KFC and Tim Hortons drinking coffee while poor Wendy (Jenn's mom) was driving from the Grande Cache to come get me in Hinton. I HATE GREYHOUND.
So there it was Banff and all that all by my lonesome! Proving my inderpendance MOTHER! haha So yeah it's late here Thursday night (oh a week after that)
Tomorrow I'm going to Edmonton with Theresa (Jenn/Ricky's friend) to hang out in the Fantasy Hotel in West Edmonton Mall and party it up on the rollercoasters and shopping goodness it has to offer. Along with our own personal Spa and Alchol glaore! And the downstairs water park! wheeeeeeee!
Love everyone! xox Wed, Oct. 15th, 2008, 01:18 am I know, I know.
I'm really failing at blogging... Just in general... SO this is a quick one. I'm in Banff at the moment it's a little national park with awesome mountians, wildlife etc. Today I'm going on a helicopter tour *crosses fingers* They havn't confirmed it yet... assholes. >_< But yeah a horses ride int he afternoon, and some good steak =D
Now, I'm running down for hotel breakfast!!
Love everyone! Sorry ! Sun, Sep. 14th, 2008, 08:15 am 1 month
WOOW I've been away from home for a month now. How crazy is that?
Okay. So at around 3pm I went down stairs (all 3 flights) to the basement to do my laundry. MAN my life is exciting haha! Anyway I loaded up my load and headed back upstairs for the 30min wait
Flash foward... Past dinner. Past 50 games of WII Mario Party
9pm Jenn: "Holly did you go get your laundry?" Me: SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTT
SO, I trudded back down stairs and put my laundry in the dryer and headed back up for my 30 mins of drying time to be past.
Flash foward... Around 20 games of Mario Party later...
12 Midnight
Jenn (on the phone to Ricky): "Oh, it was so funny Holly was like doing the same load of laundry for about 5 hours" Me: SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT hahahah I forgot again. Hurried back down and got my laundry... NINE HOURS LATER.
OKAAAY I've just returned to Grande Cache after like a 13 hour car trip from Penticton! OH MY GOD! Wow am I glad to be out've the car! I actually confused myself just now when we were driving; I was sitting staring at the stars trying to find ones I recognized. Here in Grande Cache you can see the stars perfectly and I’m like (in my head) “Wow where is the southern cross” yeah DUMMY! Eek. So... yes... We headed back through the Rocky Mountains on our adventure home. We stopped off at the "enchanted forest" it's suppose to be for kids but it was hilarious, and a nice walk! They pretty much just had models and life-size versions of all the fairy tales that kids could walk and climb on and then like a nice walking track though the water/reeds/beaver nests/salmon mating pools. Was good fun and we took lotsa photos! We also stopped at giant cedar tree walk thingie. It’s like a little nature walk around the huge trees in this one area. (I’ll put photos up soon promise) One thing I noticed about Canada is the cars are all HUGE. People just driving around in 4WD’s are small compared to these cars, and nearly everyone I saw had a huge motor home attached to the back of it! It’s crazy. OH I forgot, in Penticton before we left: So on Tuesday we didn't do much, headed down Main Street and got some hilarious souvenirs and great chocolate. There was a little shop there that made their own from nice imported ingredients from Belgium, Germany etc. I think between us we spent around $60 on chocolate! Eek! We had dinner at the Lost Moose. It has an amazing view! Really good “moose burgers” too haha. I’m off with the food again. Chubby, chubby! Wednesday we headed on a wine tour and I’ve discovered in my opinion the BEST wine ever. Like seriously. Ice wine. We took a tour of this winery: http://www.inniskillin.com/en/ they showed us the orchards and explained the wine processes etc. and then we got to taste a few of the wines. Ice wine is so good. It’s like dessert wine it’s really sweet and syrupy. I love it!!! We basically just travelled all around wine country there and down to the US border trying wine and driving, then trying more and walking for a bit. (Not drinking and driving together of course!) Ha, and then in our drunken state we marched off to dinner at a really nice steak house. Again, really good food. We were there with Lindsay, Scott and their friends as well so we had a big party and it continued at Scott and Lindsay’s house after =D That’s pretty much all! SO BED TIME yaaaaaaay! Mon, Aug. 25th, 2008, 11:17 pm Update
My Canadian blogging at the moment is a fail. complete. OKAY so what i've done: I had a long, long wait in hawaii airport and therefore was completely dead once I finally arrived in Canada. I met up with Jenn, her boyfriend Ricky and their baby Senna and we headed off to Ricky's uncles house in Edmonton. Jenn's house in in a smaller town Grande Cache and it's about 5 hours away from Edmonton airport. So we decided to visit her dad who lives a little closer. Before that however we had a 3 hour stop over in Edmonton mall. it's apparently the biggest mall in the world and man it was huge. The even have a built in swimming pool, lake and hotel. Just incase you needed more time to look around over 900 shops there! WOOOW !! So yeah shopping and lunch was fun then we had dinner with Ricky's Uncle and headed off late to Alberta Beach where Jenn's dad lives. Her dad is so funny. He has sorta the same humor as mine and was really friendly and of course, as everyone here seems to be, he fed us well! Like really well! Ha, we had a huge BBQ for dinner the second night was yum yum. We left Alberta beach to head to Grande Cache! YAAAy. I think I slept most of the way except when we stopped for takeout. Man do they have take-out here! Like the normal Mc Donalds aswell as kfc burger king, wendy's, a&w etc. etc. and the meal sizes are huge!!! Like our large is their medium and then there's huge burger with gaint chucks of meat! I'm surprised everyone isn't heffalump size! If you want to get some idea check this out http://www.aw.ca/Anyway, we arrived in Grande Cache. The town is so pretty. On Grande Cache lake and surrounded by moutains. It's a small town but stilll there's so much to do! We visited Jenn's mom's place and there i met her mom, stepdad and her sister and her family! babies everywhere ahh! Nah it was good fun and we had gaint ribs for dinner and man was i full AGAIN! haha as i said food everywhere! Canada is the same as Japan with the "shoes off before entering the house" rule and I always forget and muddy up peoples carpet hah ha! We got settled into Jenn's place (not for long though) and got some drinks and had some chilling time there. I'm on the couch for the next few weeks until we make the move into the new house. the couch is very, very nice trust me. I think it's better than my own bed at home HAHA. The next day was pretty relaxed aswell. We didn't want to do much as we were heading off to BC soon and needed to chill and pack. We ahd a BBQ at a friends place and man, do I need to say it again? SO MUCH FOOD!!! Ha it was fun though and I met alot of Jenn's friends and ate and drunk with them for a few hours. The next morning we we're heading off to BC to visit more friends and see a bit of the countryside. We travelled through the rocky mountains and they are soo pretty! The mountains are so plentlyful and some are so big even in the summer and 30oC weather the ice doesn't melt! We were jsut driving quickly though because we had set off late and didn't want to arrive after midnight. The drive was around 13 hours and never along the way was there nothing to look at with all the mountains, hills and trees! SO MANY TREES! So much green =D. In BC we're staying in Pentiction... It's like a beach side town on the Okanagan which is a HUGE HUGE lake. Apparenlty there's a serpent creature living in it called the Ogopogo! OO scandal! The weather here is pretty as pretty and we're staying with some friends Lindsey, Scott and their son Jaxen! He's an adorable character with pretty blonde curly hair and an obession with trucks. We went to the mall yesterday for lunch and today visited a winery! As I said it's very pretty here and the lake streches on for a while. The house is comfy aswell and they have a pretty little kitten called Bender that's always lots of fun to play with. Another BBQ last night proved Jenn and Scotts amazing cooking skills. I really don't think I've ever had this many BBQ's in the one week of my life! All so good though I eat til I'm about to explode, and drink until I fall asleep! Today we headed out to visit wineries but found out they all close at 5pm which leaves us not much time once we get the kids sorted after their nap. So we've decided to do one a day or maybe just visit some when Scott and Lindsey are at work. I guess once bottle of wine a day is good for us eh? AHAHA yeah I said eh. It's not addictive at all but almost everyone says it. That and their only descriptive word for something good is "AWESOME!". So far so good. I'll keep you posted. Hoping to hit up some sun in the next few days so we can swim in the lake. |
